1. To remain a member in good standing, a member must complete 16 service hours in the visual arts each semester (includes out-of-school trips, planning hours, time spent working on projects.) 2. Attendance is required at all weekly meetings to maintain membership and privileges. The maximum amount of unexcused absences permitted are 3 meetings per semester. 3. Members must participate in at least 2 NAHS projects, activities, fundraisers per semester. 4. For the NAHS cabinet members, attendance is also required at any executive meetings called outside of the regularly scheduled meetings. 5. All NAHS members must maintain a high academic standing. 6. To graduate with NAHS honors and earn the right to wear a cord, pin, or tassel at graduation, a member must remain in good academic standing until the graduation date and reach all expectations above. 7. In the event of an infraction of rules, a review by the cabinet members and sponsor will be conducted. If the individual in question is a cabinet member, he/she will not participate in the decision-making process.
How to submit application
The NAHS will send out an email to all eligible students (Any 9th to 12th grade FDR student are eligible to apply) when the application season approaches. 1. Make a Google Drive copy of the “NAHS APPLICATION FILE” and fill out the application as instructed and title it in the following format: NAHS APPLICATION FILE — GRADE LEVEL, LAST NAME, NAME (Example: NAHS APPLICATION FILE — 10, Onrubia, Jose Ignacio) 2. Once your application is completed, create a Google Drive folder with a title in the following format: NAHS APPLICATION FOLDER — GRADE LEVEL, LAST NAME, NAME (Example: NAHS APPLICATION FOLDER — 10, Onrubia, Jose Ignacio) 3. Share the created folder with Ms. Angela David ([email protected]), Ms. Helen Trajtenberg ([email protected]), Jose Ignacio Onrubia ([email protected]) and Nayoung Lee ([email protected]) 3. Upload all your artwork submission and your completed application file to the folder created. Remember to title things properly as indicated in the instructions.
